Bianca Shiu

Bianca Shiu is an accomplished individual with a diverse background in education and organizational leadership.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Neuroscience from Pomona College and a Master of Arts (MA) in Secondary Education and Teaching from Stanford University Graduate School of Education.

Bianca has gained professional experience through various roles, including being a former California Program Coordinator at FoodCorps, Facilitation & Coaching BIPOC Leadership Fellow at Agency by Design Oakland, and Oakland Regional Director at The Urban Leaders Fellowship.

Her career also includes positions such as Union Site Representative at Oakland Education Association, Science Teacher at Oakland Unified School District, and Teacher Institute Fellow at Exploratorium.

Additionally, Bianca served as a Maker-Centered Learning Design Fellow at Agency by Design Oakland, Policy Research Fellow at The Urban Leaders Fellowship, and Lead Science Teacher at Aim High.

Her commitment to education is further evident through roles such as AmeriCorps Volunteer Coordinator and Teaching Fellow at Citizen Schools, Teaching Assistant in Computer Science at Pomona College, and Professional Development Fellow at Reasoning Mind.
