William Goodwin

William Goodwin currently serves as the Deputy General Counsel, Policy and Regulatory Affairs at Joby Aviation, a position he has held since January 2020. In this role, he has been instrumental in the company's significant growth, expanding from 300 to 1,300 employees and overseeing key developments such as the acquisition of Uber Elevate and the company's public listing via SPAC. He was one of the first lawyers hired at Joby and has played a vital role in building a legal team that now consists of twelve members.1

In addition to his legal responsibilities, Goodwin manages the Government Operations team and is involved in developing strategies to enhance Joby's engagement with the Department of Defense (DOD) .1 Before joining Joby Aviation, he held various roles, including General Counsel and VP of Policy at AirMap, where he led global government affairs and policy initiatives .1
