William Brewer

William A. Brewer III is the Managing Partner and a founding partner of Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors, a law firm he co-founded in 1984. He has established himself as a prominent figure in complex commercial litigation and advocacy, known for his innovative approaches to high-stakes legal issues. His practice encompasses various fields, including commercial litigation, insurance, environmental law, antitrust, and intellectual property.1

Brewer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. John’s University (1974), a Juris Doctor from Albany Law School (1977), and a Master of Laws in Trade Regulation from New York University (1978). He is admitted to practice in Texas and New York, as well as several federal courts and the U.S. Supreme Court.1

Throughout his career, Brewer has received numerous accolades for his legal expertise, including being recognized as one of the top lawyers in complex commercial litigation nationally. In June 2024, he was named "Litigator of the Week" by The American Lawyer following a significant ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court in favor of his client.1

In addition to his legal practice, Brewer is actively involved in philanthropic efforts through the Brewer Foundation and has founded programs aimed at supporting youth education and public policy discussions.1
