William H. Ahmanson
William H. Ahmanson is the President of The Ahmanson Foundation, a private foundation based in Beverly Hills, California that concentrates its funding on the arts, education, medicine, health care, and programs related to homelessness and low-income populations.123
Prior to his current role, Ahmanson had a career in banking, working for 17 years at Home Savings of America where he started as a teller and ended as chief underwriter for the California residential lending division.2 He then spent six years in Union Bank's wealth management division before retiring from banking.2
In addition to his work at The Ahmanson Foundation, Ahmanson has served as a Level 1 Reserve Police Officer with the Los Angeles Police Department since 1986.14 He completed his training at the Los Angeles Police Academy.4
