Wendy Davis

Wendy Russell Davis is an American lawyer and politician known for her work in Texas. Born on May 16, 1963, she has had a diverse career that includes serving as a state senator and as a partner at Newby Davis, PLLC, a law firm she co-founded in 2010 with Brian Newby, who was previously the chief of staff for former Texas Governor Rick Perry.

Education and Early Career

Davis graduated from Texas Christian University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She later attended Harvard Law School, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree in 1993. After law school, she served as a law clerk for U.S. District Judge Jerry Buchmeyer and worked at Haynes & Boone, focusing on litigation.
