Wayne Wright

Wayne Wright is a Managing Director at Mizuho, overseeing the Technology Media and Telecom (TMT) team. Based in the US, he has played a pivotal role in fostering partnerships with Telecom companies, contributing significantly to Mizuho's presence in the country.

Originally from Jamaica, Wayne's journey in banking began at Salomon Brothers through a competitive internship. Since then, he has had a thriving career spanning over 25 years, covering diverse industries including Power & Utilities, Industrial, Home Building, Consumer, and most notably TMT. Wayne's global experience includes living and working in China, aiding US corporations in establishing operations in the region.

Beyond his professional commitments, Wayne actively engages in various community initiatives. He mentors young individuals through organizations like Futures and Options, iMentor, and serves on advisory councils and boards such as Futures & Options, Wall Street Bound, and American Defense Systems Inc. In 2013, Wayne spearheaded the establishment of Mizuho's annual summer internship program for underserved high school students in New York City.

With a passion for sports, Wayne dedicates time to coaching his three sons in soccer and basketball. An outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys activities like golfing. Wayne's academic achievements include graduating Summa Cum Laude from Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus, with a degree in Finance.
