Walter Florence

Walter Florence is the Managing Partner at Frontenac, a private equity firm he joined in 1994. In his role, he focuses on sourcing new investment opportunities and collaborating with portfolio companies, particularly in the consumer sector. Florence has led investments across various industries, including consumer products and services. He currently serves on the boards of several companies, such as Better Than Home and Crofter’s Organic, and has previously been involved with numerous other firms like Aspire Media and H-E Parts.13

Before his tenure at Frontenac, Florence worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. He holds a cum laude degree from Dartmouth College and an MBA with distinction from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Additionally, he is active in the venture capital and private equity community in Illinois, serving on the board and executive committee of the Illinois Venture Capital Association (IVCA).12
