Virgil Brown is a highly respected and accomplished professional in the energy industry with significant experience in origination, marketing, and risk management. A graduate of Columbia University In The City Of New York with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Virgil also holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Fordham University.

As Director of Origination at Emera Energy, he is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing energy transactions in various markets, developing business strategies, and managing customer relationships. Prior to this, Virgil served as an Originator at Transalta, Director of Marketing and Flow Trading at EDF Trading, an Associate in the Risk Management Leadership Program at GE Capital, and an Analyst in Debt Capital Markets at BNP Paribas.
