Having completed a BA in Neuroscience from Bowdoin College, a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, an Internal Medicine Residency Program at University of California, San Francisco, and a Professional Development Certificate in Health Care Innovation from the University of Pennsylvania's Department of Medical Ethics & Health Policy, Vijay has a strong educational foundation.

Currently serving as the Medical Director at Commonwealth Care Alliance, Vijay has held roles such as a COVID-19 Volunteer Physician at both the Massachusetts Medical Reserve Corps and the GALLUP INDIAN MEDICAL CENTER. Previously, he worked as an Extensivist Physician at CareMore Health and as a Resident Physician in Internal Medicine at UCSF.
