Veronica Santos
Veronica Santos is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in grasp and manipulation, hand biomechanics, haptics, and various other fields including prosthetics, robotics, and tactile sensors. She holds a Master's and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a Biometry minor from Cornell University, and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with a Music minor from the University of California, Berkeley. Veronica has held various academic positions throughout her career, including serving as a Professor in the Dept. of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and as an Affiliate Faculty in the Dept. of Bioengineering at UCLA. She has also been an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at UCLA, and previously worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the A.E. Mann Institute for Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southern California. Veronica Santos has industry experience as well, having worked as a Research and Development Engineer and a Quality Engineer at Guidant.
