Val Pucilowski is a Staff UX Researcher at Slack based in New York City.24 She takes a collaborative, holistic approach to ensure that business and design decisions are rooted in a deep understanding of human needs and behavior.14
Prior to joining Slack, Val worked at Spotify, where she partnered with cross-functional teams to surface insights about a global community of creators and their teams.1 She also conducted foundational research at Etsy to develop strategies, services, and tools that help creative entrepreneurs start, grow, and manage their businesses.1
In addition to her professional work, Val has been involved with Mixed Methods, a platform focused on UX research. She has served as a guest speaker on UX Research and has coached cohorts ahead of behavioral interviews during job hunts.2
Val is passionate about making things, meeting people, and enjoying nature.1 She attended Briarcliff High School and joined social media platforms like Facebook in September 2013.3
