Val Hunting

Val Hunting is a Senior Level Tech Consultant, Project Manager, and Business Process Re-engineering expert with over 20 years of consulting experience in the public and private sectors globally, specializing in payment technologies.

Val has extensive experience with Fraedom technology and has been a passionate supporter since its introduction to the NZ market in 1999. Prior to joining Fraedom in 2007, Val worked closely with Fraedom re-sellers in business development and implementation roles in NZ and Australia.

Val has collaborated with Fraedom's white label partners worldwide, driving initiatives that led to significant growth for these partners. Val's global implementation experience includes working with direct clients such as Fonterra, Rio Tinto, Visa Inc., and large issuers like Bank of Montreal and Barclaycard.

Currently, Val leads a team of Product & Implementation Consultants to support Fraedom's global partners. Val's expertise also extends to the music industry, having worked with Booktrack in business operations and audio production, creating soundtracks for eBooks.

Val's specialties include Relationship Management, Business Development, Growth Strategies, Market Initiatives, Consulting, Requirements Analysis, Project Delivery, and Product Development. Val holds a MMus with Honours in Music Theory and Composition from The University of Auckland and a BA with Distinction in Music from Whitman College.

Val's previous roles include Head of Client Delivery at SpendLabs, Bass Player at Indicator Dogs, Product & Implementation Director at Fraedom, VP Audio at Booktrack, Relationship Manager at Visa Inc., and various other consulting and management positions in organizations like Spendvision, Trobexis Pty Ltd, Acumen Alliance, and Management Toolbox.
