Uriel Vazquez is an accomplished Creative Director, Bilingual Copywriter, and Music Composer with a diverse background spanning 17 years. Born and raised in Mexico City, Uriel has worked with major brands such as JCPenney, Pennzoil, and Toyota, creating award-winning copy. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences from the Universidad Intercontinental in Mexico. Before co-founding Alebrije, Uriel worked as a freelance copywriter for major Hispanic advertising agencies in the US.
Uriel brings extensive experience in creating advertising strategies for both Hispanic-oriented products and services and General Market companies interested in tapping the Hispanic Market. He has a special interest in spreading positive messages through cause-oriented music and founded NOVA PANGEA, a band dedicated to raising awareness about peace, animal rights, environmental protection, the human condition, and women’s and children’s rights. Uriel's work reveals a secular-humanist approach, making his compositions resonate with various audiences.
As a skilled music composer, he has scored several of his own TV and radio spots, making his advertising work even more appealing. Uriel's advertising journey began in Mexico as a Jr. Copywriter at Grupo Gran Comunicación, followed by Copywriter at Inspire, Copywriter at Legion Advertising, and Copywriter at Cartel Creativo. He then moved to the US, where he worked as a Senior Copywriter at Siboney USA, Senior Copywriter at Global Hue, and Senior Copywriter at Lopez Negrete Communications, Inc. He joined The Richards Group as a Creative Director before returning to Alebrije Advertising, where he works now as a Creative Director & Bilingual Copywriter.
