    Uri Lopatin is a well-known physician-scientist and biotech entrepreneur with a superb academic background. He has studied medicine at New York University and obtained a B.A. in Biology from Cornell University. Additionally, he holds a Doctor of Medicine in Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and has studied at the University of Washington's School of Medicine.

Additionally, he founded Pardes Biosciences, a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing breakthrough therapies, where he worked as CEO and President. Furthermore, he has served as a strategic and scientific advisor and board member for the company, and he also founded Yosera and Assembly Pharmaceuticals.

    During his extensive career, Uri Lopatin has held several positions of responsibility, including Senior Director of Clinical and Translational Research at Gilead Sciences and Translational Medicine Leader at Roche. He has also worked as Associate Director for Hepatology at Merck and, amongst other things, was a co-founder and Chief Medical Officer for Assembly Biosciences.

    Besides, Lopatin has received numerous awards and recognitions, such as being an Edmund Hillary Fellow and receiving the Emerging Leaders in Biosecurity Initiative Fellowship from the UPMC Center for Health Security.

    He is an inspiring figure for students and young entrepreneurs. Uri Lopatin has mentored cohorts of fellows and provided guidance as a mentor at Startx Med and Thiel 20 Under 20 Fellowship.
