Tyler MacKay is a seasoned attorney with a strong background in venture capital, entrepreneurship, and corporate law. He specializes in assisting businesses of all sizes with startup, capital raising, corporate, and transactional matters. With a focus on structuring, forming, and operating funds, Tyler also represents angel investors, angel groups, and venture and growth capital firms.

Tyler's career journey is marked by extensive experience in the venture capital and entrepreneurship ecosystem. He has served as a venture capital fund administrator and was an early employee at a venture-backed SaaS startup catering to venture capital firms. This hands-on experience has provided him with insight into the challenges faced by founders and investors, such as navigating product-market fit, managing rapid growth, and handling financial aspects like capital calls and LP reporting.

Tyler MacKay holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from Brigham Young University—J. Reuben Clark Law School. He also pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business Management and Leadership from Southern Virginia University, where he also studied Statesmanship, Political Science, and Government at George Wythe University.

Tyler has held various key positions throughout his career, including roles at Aumni as the Business Development & Data Operations Manager and VC Attorney, as well as positions at Assure Services. His experience also includes serving as a Law Clerk at Bowen Law Professional Group, Baker & McKenzie, and Hutchison & Steffen. He has been involved in legal clinics and held leadership roles such as Student Body President at Southern Virginia University.
