Ty Abernethy

Ty Abernethy is the Co-Founder and CEO of Grayscale, a company he has led since December 2017. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Grayscale is a platform that utilizes texting and automation to streamline the hiring process for companies. Notable clients include Anheuser-Busch, Upwork, and Warby Parker, which use Grayscale to enhance candidate engagement and integrate seamlessly with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) like Greenhouse and Lever.1

Prior to Grayscale, Abernethy co-founded ConveyIQ (formerly known as Take the Interview), where he served as COO from January 2012 to June 2017. This HR tech startup aimed to improve talent communication and streamline the hiring process for major organizations such as NBCUniversal and Airbnb. He also founded ZuzuHire in 2011, a cloud-based recruiting solution, and worked as Managing Director at Chase Professionals from 2005 to 2011.12

Abernethy holds a degree from The University of Georgia, where he studied from 2001 to 2005.1 His professional focus revolves around solving hiring challenges and enhancing the candidate experience through innovative technology.
