Trung-Hieu Nguyen

Trung-Hieu Nguyen is a highly motivated and educated actuary with a passion for creating positive change in people's perception of financial protection products. With a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Actuarial Science, a Diploma of Mathematical Sciences in Statistics and Stochastic Processes, and a high school education in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, Trung-Hieu has received world-class education from two different continents. In 2011, he took a gap year where he worked with HIV/AIDS children and deaf people communities, and this experience changed his entire perspective on life.

In 2015, Trung-Hieu's family home was caught in a fire, which reaffirmed his decision to pursue a career in actuary. He wanted to provide people with the security they deserved and make a positive impact on society. Trung-Hieu is aware that he must continue to improve himself and keep a healthy portfolio of knowledge. He enjoys physical and intellectual challenges and spends his free time running, lifting weights, playing tennis, and doing math.

Trung-Hieu had worked as Operational Risk Management Intermediate Specialist at Sun Life, Valuation Actuarial Officer at Manulife, Valuation Actuarial Associate at FWD Insurance, and Valuation Actuarial Intern at Manulife Financial. He was also the President at IVSUM - International Vietnamese Students at the University of Melbourne.
