President of New City Kids
Trevor Rubingh, a graduate of Calvin College and Princeton Theological Seminary, is the Founder and President of New City Kids, a nonprofit dedicated to providing life-transforming opportunities for at-risk youth.
Since 2009, New City Kids has seen an impressive 99% of its seniors successfully matriculate to college, with 90% currently pursuing or having obtained a degree, and an astounding 0% having been incarcerated.
Driven by a passion for empowering urban children, Trevor and his wife Linda founded New City Kids in Jersey City in 1994, later expanding to Grand Rapids, MI, where they've established a replicable model for creating positive change in underserved communities.
Trevor's visionary leadership and dedication have garnered recognition, including the 2017 Manhattan Institute Social Entrepreneurship Award for his outstanding service at New City Kids.
Today, New City Kids operates in 3 cities with 5 sites, boasting a team of 65 employees who impact the lives of 500 children daily, under Trevor's continued leadership and guidance.
