The Blockchain & Climate Institute (BCI), a technology partner of the UNFCCC, is a UK-based think tank & policy advisor providing expertise in the deployment of emerging technologies for climate and sustainability actions.

As the Head of Communications and Public Relations of BCI, my role is to manage BCI’s communication strategies, enhancing its reputation, and engaging with various stakeholders, including the public, media, industry partners, and policymakers:

1. Developing Communication Strategy: Formulate a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with BCI’s goals and values, including messaging on blockchain technology and climate change initiatives.
   
2. Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to promote the institute's work, secure media coverage, and manage press releases.
   
3. Content Creation: Oversee the creation of engaging content across various platforms, such as website, social media, blogs, and reports, to communicate the institute's research, events, and initiatives.
   
4. Crisis Communication: Develop strategies and key messages for managing potential crises or negative publicity, maintaining the institute's reputation.
   
5. Event Management: Organise and promote events, webinars, and conferences related to blockchain technology, climate change, and sustainability.

6. Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, government agencies, NGOs, and the public, to foster collaborations and promote the institute's mission.
   
7. Thought Leadership: Positioning the institute as a thought leader in the intersection of blockchain technology and climate action, by securing speaking engagements, publishing articles, and engaging in expert panels.
   
8. Internal Communications: Ensuring effective internal communication within the institute, keeping team members globally informed and engaged with relevant updates and initiatives.
