Summary

Toufic Boubez is an accomplished technology executive and entrepreneur with three successful exits under his belt. He currently serves as the CTO and Chief Product Officer at MacroHealth, where he helps develop intelligent healthcare markets. Previously, Boubez spent time as the VP of Engineering at Splunk, leading the company's machine learning teams and incubation projects. He also founded and served as the CTO of Metafor Software, which was acquired by Splunk, and co-founded and acted as the CTO of Layer 7 Technologies, which was acquired by Computer Associates. Boubez is passionate about machine learning and service-oriented architecture (SOA). 
At IBM, Boubez was instrumental in developing its SOA strategy and founded the company's first SOA team. He also served as the Chief Architect for SOA and Web Services tools. During his career, he also worked at Telos Corporation and his own startup, BAFT Technologies. 
Boubez holds a Master of Electrical Engineering degree and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from McGill University, as well as a Ph.D. in Engineering from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. He is a sought-after presenter and has been the technical chair of many conferences. Boubez is also the author of several publications, articles, and books, including "Building Web Services with Java" and "Java P2P Unleashed." He has been honored with numerous accolades throughout his career, including being named to InfoWorld's "Ones to Watch" list in 2002 and CRN's Technology Innovator list in 2004.
