Tony Plunkett

Tony Plunkett is an accomplished educational professional with over 18 years of experience in the field. Tony's journey in education includes working in the largest urban district in the United States, supporting formative assessment practices at a citywide level, managing the development and implementation of a statewide assessment portfolio, and working on the team supporting antiracism and equity-focused literacy and learning for a nationally-recognized education nonprofit.

Tony studied history at Brown University and earned an MA in Education from Pace University. Tony has held several roles throughout his career, including Data and Operations Consultant at NYC Department of Education, Managing Director of Org Culture, Communications & Anti-racism, Managing Director of Assessment Strategy at Achievement Network (ANet), Director of Assessment Design at Tennessee Department of Education, and Program Manager at New York City Department of Education.

Additionally, Tony has experience as an Instructor at The Door -- A Center For Alternatives, facilitating the Infused GED program. Through Tony's diverse work experiences, he has acquired a wealth of knowledge and expertise in assessment design, literacy and learning, anti-racism and equity-focused practices, and organizational strategy and culture.
