Tony McDonald is an accomplished professional specializing in Human Performance Modeling, Data Analysis, and programming languages such as R and Java. With a background in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Tony has demonstrated expertise and experience in various academic and industry roles.
Currently, Tony McDonald serves as an Assistant Professor and the Corrie and Jim Furber '64 Faculty Fellow at Texas A&M University. Prior to this, he held the position of Assistant Professor at the same institution. Additionally, Tony has valuable industry experience, having worked as a Manager of Software Development and a Senior Software Engineer at Oracle. He also has a history of independent consulting through McDonald Analytics.
Tony McDonald's educational journey includes a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from M.I.T., a Master of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering, as well as a Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering, both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Throughout his career, Tony has engaged in various research and academic activities. He has served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Cognitive Systems Lab, a Summer Research Intern at the United States Air Force Research Laboratory, and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Cognitive Systems Lab. Furthermore, during his undergraduate studies at M.I.T., Tony worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Humans and Automation Lab.
