Tom Wavering is a seasoned executive leader in the fields of entrepreneurship, technology innovation, development, and commercialization. He is a national expert in Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR), leveraging the funding programs for economic development. Over his 20+ year career, he has developed technology from conception to commercialization across a diverse range of technology areas and markets.

He has held various leadership positions throughout his career, including serving as the Founding Executive Director of the University of Oklahoma Innovation Hub and Catalyst Programs. Wavering has also served as a faculty member in entrepreneurship at the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma. He has reported to CEOs and Presidents at companies like Intelligent Automation, Inc. -- where he was Vice President of Strategic Technologies -- and Luna Innovations, where he was Vice President of Technology Development Division.

Wavering has demonstrated consistent success in driving change, building collaborations, and developing a culture of innovation that can help grow economic impact. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where he earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering.
