Todd Binet

Todd Binet is an accomplished entrepreneur and investor based in Houston, Texas. He currently serves as a Member of the Advisory Board for the TMC Venture Fund at the Texas Medical Center, a role he has held since March 2021. In this capacity, he contributes to the strategic direction and investment decisions of the fund, which focuses on supporting innovative healthcare startups and ventures.

Binet is also the Principal and Founder of Appareo Capital, LLC, a family office/private equity firm he established in 2016. His extensive career spans over 30 years, during which he has held various executive positions and board roles across multiple sectors, particularly in energy and telecommunications. Notably, he was the CEO and Co-Founder of BVIG Financial, which processed over $1 billion in transactions during its early years. Additionally, he has been involved with companies like Essentium, Inc. and Abrado Wellbore Services, serving as a board observer for both organizations.123

Binet's educational background includes a BBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University and a JD/MBA from The Wharton School, equipping him with a strong foundation in business and law.
