Michael Macaluso

Michael Macaluso is the Executive Vice President of Engineering at IoTecha, a company focused on providing integrated solutions for electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. He is a co-founder of the company and has nearly 20 years of experience in various engineering disciplines, including data communications, embedded software, hardware, signal processing, and System on Chip (SoC) development.12

Before joining IoTecha, Macaluso held a senior engineering management position at STMicroelectronics. His expertise includes high-speed powerline communications, an area he has been involved with since its inception. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and was part of the team that founded Peak Communications Technology in 1997, which later became part of STMicroelectronics.123

Throughout his career, Macaluso has led the development of significant SoC devices, including the Arkados AI-1100 and STMicroelectronics ST-2100. He played a crucial role in their conception to production processes and was involved in hands-on verification of their implementations.12 His contributions to the field have established him as one of the most experienced engineers in powerline communications.1
