Toby Peters is a well-known figure in the field of sustainable cooling and energy solutions, holding the title of Professor of Cold Economy at the University of Birmingham. He serves as the co-Director of the Centre for Sustainable Cooling and holds positions as a Visiting Professor at Heriot-Watt University and Kyushu University. Peters is also a Senior Advisor for Cooling at Sustainable Energy for All and a consultant to the IFC on cooling matters, in addition to being part of the Technical Advisory Committee for the Global Cooling Prize.
