Dr. Ed Trevillion is an Honorary Professor of Real Estate Investment and Finance at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh with a vast background in academic and market-based real estate research.
He has held prestigious positions such as Head of Real Estate Research and Strategy at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, Head of Property Research at GVA in Scotland, and Director at Cornflower Associates, an independent research consultancy business.
Dr. Trevillion obtained his PhD from Heriot Watt University focusing on complexity theory in modeling property market behavior and remains actively involved in teaching, research, and lecturing internationally.
He has authored publications in various journals and magazines, co-authored a book on the global financial crisis and its impacts on UK property markets, and served as an external examiner for the Masters Programmes in Commercial Property and Planning and Development at the University of Sheffield.
With a keen interest in adaptive models reflecting evolving property market structures, he has also contributed to the Investment Property Forum's research steering group and chaired a Scottish Government Working Party aimed at promoting institutional investment in the private rented residential sector in Scotland.
