Tobias Reber

Tobias Reber is the Head of Education and Music Mediation at Musikfestival Bern, a prominent contemporary and experimental music festival in Bern, Switzerland. He has held this position since January 2018, where he is responsible for developing and implementing educational programs and music mediation initiatives. His work encompasses various formats, including workshops for schools, online teaching, artist talks, and interdisciplinary projects.12

Reber's background includes a Master’s degree in Contemporary Arts Practice with a focus on Music and Media. He is an experienced educator who teaches in multiple languages—German, English, and French—and has been involved in numerous projects aimed at fostering music education across different age groups and settings. His initiatives often include collaborations with social institutions and educational bodies throughout Switzerland.143

In addition to his role at Musikfestival Bern, Reber has also worked as a guest lecturer at institutions such as Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and has organized various music education projects that emphasize experimental music and media art.1
