Timo Arnall

Timo Arnall is a prominent figure in the field of interaction design, with a diverse background spanning across various creative ventures. He co-founded Playdeo, a pioneering company focused on developing games within the realm of TV, and Ottica, an esteemed interaction design agency. Additionally, he held the position of creative director at BERG, a renowned product invention firm based in London. Arnall also played a pivotal role in establishing the interaction design institute at the Oslo School of Architecture. His notable projects often fuse photography and animation to elucidate the workings of cutting-edge technologies. His expertise encompasses interaction design, animation, film, visual effects (VFX), and photography.

Timo Arnall pursued his academic interests in interaction design, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from The Oslo School of Architecture and Design. He also completed a Bachelor's degree in Film & Television as well as a Foundation degree in Media, both from the University of the Arts London.

Throughout his illustrious career, Timo Arnall has been associated with a multitude of esteemed organizations, including Apple as a Designer in the Apple Design Team. He co-founded Playdeo and Ottica, showcasing his entrepreneurial acumen. Arnall has also contributed his expertise as a visiting faculty member at the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design and served in various roles such as research fellow, project leader, course leader, lecturer, and tutor at the Oslo School of Architecture. His diverse experience includes roles as a creative professional at AHO, Umeå University, and Interaction Design Institute Ivrea. Additionally, Arnall has held positions as a designer, art director, and director at both freelance capacities and established agencies, thereby demonstrating his versatile skill set and adaptability in the dynamic realm of design and innovation.
