Nina Lysbakken

Nina Lysbakken is a passionate, creative, and ambitious individual with a diverse background in graphic and interaction design, critical design, social entrepreneurship, and social activism.

Currently pursuing a PhD focused on social media and democracy, she explores how designers can strategically facilitate necessary conversations in online media.

Her expertise includes conversational spaces, social semiotics, critical design, and gender issues, with a special interest in pragmatic feminism and diversity.

In her Master's studies, she delved into youth motivation and developed innovative concepts for creating motivational educational systems, emphasizing personalized learning experiences for children.

Her educational journey spans various institutions including the University of California, Berkeley, Bergen Academy of Art and Design, Gjøvik University College, and several others, covering aspects of entrepreneurship, visual communication, and media design.

Nina has enriched her professional experience through roles such as Lecturer, Interaction Designer, Researcher, and Board Member in esteemed organizations like USN, The Oslo School of Architecture and Design, and IxDA Oslo.

Her design expertise extends to areas such as graphic design, book design, and interaction design, involving projects that aim to inspire, provoke, and provide practical solutions for people.

With a background in guiding tours and a strong inclination towards communication and human motivation, Nina brings a unique perspective to her work, infusing creativity and determination in all her endeavors.
