Tim Maly
Tim Maly is a journalist, writer, and lecturer with a diverse background in design, systemic thinking, and speculative architecture. He studied philosophy at the University of King's College before beginning his career as a web designer at Pleiades. From there, he co-founded Project Wonderful and went on to become the Creative Director at Pleiades and the Producer at Capybara Games.
Maly has also worked in politics, serving as the Outreach and Promotion Leader for the New Democratic Party of Canada for the 2011 election and Acting Graduate Program Director at Rhode Island School of Design. He has been a Collection Editor at Medium.com and a Writer for Wired Magazine and Fast Company.
Currently, Maly is the Senior Lead for Strategic Design and Communications at the Center for Complexity at Rhode Island School of Design, where he lectures and curates events on cyborg theory, design fiction, and independent education. He is also a former Fellow at Harvard University's metaLAB and the Principal at Quiet Babylon.
