Tieshun Roquerre is an accomplished entrepreneur, software engineer, and founder based in San Francisco. He gained recognition for being the founder of Namebase, a popular domain name registrar that was eventually bought by Namecheap in 2021. Before that, Tieshun raised $5m to fund Namebase and received a Thiel Fellowship grant in 2019. He also went through Y Combinator for StrongIntro, a referral platform that helps tech companies grow their engineering teams.
Tieshun's journey began when he dropped out of high school in 2015 to work as a full-time engineer at Teespring, a popular e-commerce platform, in San Francisco. In 2016, he started his undergraduate degree at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he studied Mathematics and Computer Science. After two years, he dropped out to focus on Namebase.
Fast forward to 2022, Tieshun remains busy working on his latest venture, which is operating in stealth mode. His remarkable track record has positioned him as a prominent figure in the tech community, showcasing his expertise in entrepreneurship, software engineering, fundraising, and more.
