Julia Wu

Julia Wu is an Engineering Manager with a notable background in technology and entrepreneurship. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Economics from Brown University. Wu began her career as a software engineering intern at Microsoft and has since held various engineering roles at major tech companies, including Apple and Brex.

At Brex, where she worked from 2019 until early 2022, Wu progressed from a software engineer to an engineering manager. She was responsible for leading teams focused on Card Fraud, Card Growth, and Rewards, significantly contributing to the company's engineering efforts, including the development of APIs and expense management features. Her leadership in scaling the Card Fraud team led to a notable reduction in customer experience and fraud operations cases.3

In addition to her technical roles, Wu is a first-generation college graduate, multilingual in Portuguese and Mandarin, and has been actively involved in initiatives supporting women's empowerment in technology. She founded a student organization at Brown and served as president of both Women in Computer Science and Women in Business.23

Currently, Julia Wu is co-founding a startup called Spark AI, focusing on clean energy solutions, and is involved in various projects related to web3 and cryptocurrency.13
