Tom Pianta is a dynamic and experienced healthcare leader with over 25 years of experience in hospital operations, rehabilitation services, population health management, and clinical research. As the Chief Strategic Growth Officer at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital, he is responsible for physician contracting, new program and business development. Tom has been at the forefront of innovation and change in healthcare, having worked on statewide consulting programs for government agencies focusing on reducing healthcare disparities, reducing hospital re-admissions, and designing payment models.

Tom holds a degree in MPT, Physical Therapy from Emory University School of Medicine and a BS in Psychology from the University of Connecticut. Prior to joining Inova, he worked as the Network Program Manager at Frederick Integrated Healthcare Network, the Executive Director of AAMC Collaborative Care Network at Anne Arundel Medical Center, and the Director of The Orthopedic and Spine Institute at St. Agnes Hospital. Tom has also worked as a Clinical Research Consultant at Sanofi and Amgen and as a Physical Therapist at Emory University Hospital.
