Thomas Furber

Thomas Furber is a seasoned business leader currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of High Mowing Organic Seeds, a prominent company in the organic seed industry. He joined High Mowing in 2013, bringing with him over 30 years of experience in business management and leadership. His educational background includes degrees from Middlebury College and Dartmouth College.12

During his tenure at High Mowing, Furber focused on enhancing operational efficiency, including innovating warehouse processes and implementing a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. His leadership was particularly notable during the surge in seed sales during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he played a vital role in ensuring the safety of the team and the continuity of operations.12

Before his role at High Mowing, Furber held various significant positions, including Vice President at Care.com and leadership roles at Hannaford Supermarkets, where he was instrumental in turning around business units and improving financial systems.13

In March 2023, Furber transitioned from his CEO role to focus on other ventures, marking a significant change in leadership at High Mowing as Andrea Tursini succeeded him as CEO.12
