Thiago Chang

Thiago Chang is an experienced Management Consultant with a strong passion for Social Impact and Global Development. He has a diverse work background in various continents such as South America, Africa, and Asia.

Thiago is currently a Manager at TechnoServe's Strategic Initiatives team, where he collaborates with multinational corporations in the agribusiness, food, and consumer sectors to establish and execute innovative business strategies in emerging markets to generate shared value.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) and has undergone academic programs in Chemistry and Biochemical Engineering in universities like Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg respectively.

Thiago's professional journey includes a significant tenure at Bain & Company in São Paulo, where he assisted clients across various industries in South America with strategy formulation, performance enhancement, cost management, organizational restructuring, and M&A activities.

In 2017, he served as a Case Team Leader at the Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Agency, contributing to the development and implementation of projects aimed at enhancing the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in Ethiopia.

Thiago is also actively involved in social causes, having volunteered in Laos at Village Focus International and in Zimbabwe at Young Africa. Moreover, he continues his volunteer work as an Advisor to the Director of Young Africa Zimbabwe, aiding in the organization's strategic planning.

He furthered his education by completing the prestigious Schwarzman Scholars program in China at Tsinghua University, where he obtained a Master's Degree in Global Affairs, with a specific focus on China's role in shaping developing nations in the 21st century.
