Theodore Dounas

Theodore Dounas is an award-winning chartered architect and academic with expertise in computation and fabrication in architecture and design. He is Chartered & Registered in Greece and the UK and holds the title of Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK.

His professional interests and areas of expertise include digital architecture, computation in architectural design, shape grammars, and architectural design research. Theodore has practical experience in designing complex buildings of varying scales.

Theodore's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Architectural Design Computation & Theory and a degree in Arch.Eng, Architectural Design from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). Additionally, he has pursued studies in UAV-Drone Pilot courses.

With a wealth of experience, Theodore has held various roles in prestigious organizations such as being a Learning Excellence Leader at Robert Gordon University, founder and architect at Adventurous Architecture, and Associate Professor at Xi'an Jiaotong Liverpool University, among others.

He has contributed significantly to the field as a former Lecturer of Architecture, Architect Engineer, Lead Trainer, Consultant, and Head of Digital Icon section in different institutions and companies, showcasing his diverse skills and knowledge in architecture and design.
