Tessa Foorman

Tessa Foorman is an accomplished conservationist with a focus on integrating social science and natural resource conservation for the benefit of local communities and endangered wildlife globally. She possesses extensive experience in overseeing operations and managing projects for top-tier executives and leaders within the environmental nonprofit realm.

Tessa holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Conservation Leadership from Colorado State University. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biology and Environmental Studies from Eckerd College. Her educational foundation was laid at Lewis-Palmer High School.

With a rich professional background, Tessa has served in various capacities at The Nature Conservancy, including as the Executive Coordinator and the Project & Operations Coordinator in the Chief Conservation Office. She has also been an Operations Program Specialist within the Office of the President and Chief Conservation Office at The Nature Conservancy.

Prior to her roles at The Nature Conservancy, Tessa contributed as an Independent Researcher at Colorado State University and as a Conference and Event Planning Coordinator focusing on Human Dimensions of Natural Resources at the same institution. Additionally, she has experience working as an Event Planning and Development Consultant, Development Associate, and Program Assistant at WildAid. Furthermore, Tessa has shared her expertise as an Environmental Educator at NatureBridge.
