Terry Chapman

Terry Chapman is the Managing Director and co-owner of Axenic Ltd, a security consultancy based in Wellington, New Zealand. He has held this position since October 2016, leading a team that provides security advice across governance, risk, assurance, architecture, and training for both public and private sector clients.13

Professional Background

Chapman has over two decades of experience in the IT industry, beginning his career as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in 2000. Before his current role at Axenic, he worked at Microsoft in various capacities, including Principal Service Delivery Manager and Architect for the Worldwide Public Sector Centre of Excellence. His responsibilities at Microsoft involved providing strategic consultancy and support for technology environments.13

Prior to his tenure at Microsoft, Chapman was the Principal Consultant at Fujitsu New Zealand Ltd, where he led high-level consultancy and infrastructure architecture design projects for major government agencies. He also founded and managed Fusionworks, a technology company specializing in web development and IT services, from 1997 to 2009.13
