Terence Curtis is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in Aviation, Engineering, Military Electronics, and IoT Systems. He specializes in developing and implementing extensive IoT systems and hardware focused on Air Quality and Management, particularly Indoor Air Quality, utilizing ESP32 with AWS RTOS implementations.
With over 15 years of experience in Armed Services, Terence has expertise in live firing, target training, and security equipment, building strong relationships within the security systems and installations industry.
His career highlights include installing Biometric FingerPrint solutions back in 1988 for industries like fast food and transport, leading to ongoing design and manufacturing of biometric products. He also received an Australian Design Award for a Fingerscan Biometric solution he presented.
Since 1998, Terence has been heavily involved in China, particularly in Guangdong Province, where he set up a new factory in Shenzhen and collaborated with various suppliers for Prototype, Tooling, Plastics and Metal work assembly, PCBA, and SMT with High Resolution BGA Microprocessors.
Terence's qualifications include an Aircraft Engineering Craftsmanship Certificate, Flight Crew Licence, Australian Government Civil Aviation Safety Authority (ASIC) RED Security Clearance, Marine Radio Operators Certificate of Proficiency, and a Patent in Personal Biometrics. He has also developed and installed WEB-based applications for GPS, vehicle tracking, and reporting, as well as commissioned electronics factories in China / Shenzhen for OEM with SMT and Assembly lines.
Terence Curtis is an experienced presenter and trainer, having traveled to over 25 countries. He currently serves as the Director and CTO at QiTekgroup.com and has previously held leadership positions as the Director of Manufacturing and Engineering at TDA-Tech Hong Kong and the Director of Engineering at Fingerscan Pty Ltd Australia.
