Taylor Hales

Taylor Hales is the Studio Manager at Electrical Audio, a renowned recording studio in Chicago. He has a multifaceted role that includes engineering both tape and digital recording sessions, as well as managing tape transfer work. Hales is also affectionately known as the studio's "Office Wolf" and is involved in various creative projects, including playing bass in the bands Paper Mice and the Arts of Life Band.12

Hales began his journey at Electrical Audio as an intern, learning from the studio's founder, Steve Albini. Following Albini's passing in May 2024, Hales has expressed a commitment to honoring Albini's legacy while continuing the studio's tradition of fostering musical creativity. Under his management, Electrical Audio has remained busy, with bookings solid through the end of the year, reflecting the studio's ongoing relevance in the music industry.23
