Tamilvanan Vilvam is a dedicated professional with a wealth of experience in PV system Design and Installation, specializing in selecting the right solar technology for various types of power plants - including Grid, Off-Grid, and Hybrid systems.

With a strong background in feasibility studies, Tamilvanan excels in evaluating factors such as Land Plots, Irradiation levels, Tilt angles, and the efficient arrangement of Modules to optimize energy generation.

Skilled in manual calculations for parameters like plant load factor (PLF), Capacity of utility factor (CUF), and Performance Ratio (PR), Tamilvanan also has expertise in PVSyst Simulation and shading analysis to ensure accurate system design.

His proficiency extends to the selection of D.C and A.C cables, switch-gear, and string sizing, along with detailed DC engineering of power plants. He is adept at creating SLD/Overall Plant layouts and collaborating with various teams for robust project designs.

Tamilvanan's competencies include preparing cable schedules, load calculations, SOW, BOQ, and BOM for solar PV installations, as well as designing systems with and without trackers. He is experienced in generating detailed project reports and overseeing tender engineering processes.

Furthermore, he has a deep understanding of technical specifications related to A.C and D.C switchgear compliant with IS, IEC, NFPA, and NEC standards. His collaboration with electrical, structural, and civil contractors ensures innovative design solutions.

Tamilvanan possesses expertise in structural engineering for RCC rooftop systems and engages closely with power Evacuation and Grid connection teams. He has hands-on experience in the installation and commissioning of SPV systems and procuring BOS components.

Additionally, he is skilled in designing SCADA Architecture for efficient Monitoring and Control of Solar Power Plants and overseeing the design, procurement, and installation of Weather Stations necessary for optimal plant performance.

Tamilvanan Vilvam holds a Master's degree in Solar Energy with First Class honors from Anna University - Institute for Energy Studies (IES) and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) with First Class from Mahendra Engineering College. Currently, he serves as the Manager of Design Projects at Solar Quest.
