Taeer Bar-Yam

Taeer Bar-Yam is a recent college graduate with a BA in Mathematics from Cornell University, where he delved into graduate classes in Algebra, Logic, and theory of programming languages.

He has a strong foundation in systems programming, having worked on projects like the MAR1D game and experimented with languages such as C, Python, Haskell, Java, Perl, and more.

His interest in theory and abstraction leads him to seek the right abstract frameworks for understanding concepts and building tools, always striving for elegance and simplicity.

Taeer enjoys problem-solving and tinkering with physical contraptions and using programming to automate tasks in his everyday life.

He values teamwork and interpersonal relations, having written articles on team-centered thinking and actively participating in group projects with a focus on managing team dynamics.

Currently, he works as a Developer Productivity Software Engineer at Tweag and has previous experience as an Advanced Networking Software Engineer at Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd., as well as research internships at New England Complex Systems Institute and MIT Media Lab.
