Susan Martin
Teaching Assistant at University of Victoria
Susan Martin is a Research Associate and Teaching Assistant at the School of Health Information Science at the University of Victoria (UVic).123 She has worked as a Teaching Assistant, Lab Instructor, and Sessional Instructor at UVic since May 2020.1 Susan has a diverse educational background, including:
- BA in Anthropology from UVic (2011)
- Master's in International Health from Uppsala University (2014)
- BSc in Health Information Science from UVic (2019)1
In the fall of 2020, Susan was the online Lab Instructor for the inaugural lab component of HINF350: Human Aspects of Health Care Information Systems, where she introduced students to the basics of prototyping using Figma.2
Outside of her academic work, Susan has been involved with a group of concerned neighbors in Victoria since fall 2020, working to improve the lives of unhoused individuals and advocating on their behalf with organizations like BC Housing and the City of Victoria.1
