Sumit Mittal is currently the General Manager for US Telcos at Google Hardware, where he has been involved in strategic initiatives related to telecommunications and hardware integration. He has held this position since 2018, overseeing business development and partnerships within the telecom sector, particularly focusing on enhancing Google’s presence in the smart home and connected device markets through his previous role at Nest, which he has also maintained since January 2016.1

Prior to joining Google, Mittal worked as the Director of Business Development at Deutsche Telekom from December 2012 to January 2016, where he was responsible for leading various business development and product partnership initiatives. His career also includes significant experience in managing partnerships and strategic alliances at Acision and Amdocs, where he developed a strong network within the tech and telecom industries.1

Mittal holds an MBA from Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management and a degree in Computer Science from Punjab Technical University. His expertise encompasses areas such as big data, network infrastructure, and the Internet of Things (IoT), making him a key player in the evolving landscape of telecommunications and technology.1
