Suman's expertise lies in building and managing peta-byte scale systems in the fields of distributed tracing, log search, and metrics in the observability domain.

As a tech lead for Zipkin and co-author of Open Tracing, Pintrace, and SlackTrace, Suman has contributed significantly to the development of end-to-end tracing systems at Pinterest and Slack.

In the area of log search, Suman has worked on KalDB, Loglens, and PB-scale Elastic search solutions.

For metrics management, Suman has experience with OpenTSDB and Yuvi, an in-memory metrics storage engine.
