Steven Cruz is a seasoned finance professional and an experienced Co-Founder, based in the United States. He has a diverse background, having held positions at several well-known companies before founding his own startup, Hazel. Steven holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a focus on Entrepreneurism from Fordham University. He also studied abroad in Rome, Italy, at John Cabot University.

Throughout his career, Steven has built a reputation as a detail-oriented and driven financial analyst. He has held several positions at Plated, a meal delivery service provider, including Senior Director of Finance, Strategic Finance and FP&A, Director of Finance, Strategic Finance and FP&A, and Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis. Steven also spent time at Shapeways, where he served as a Senior Financial Planning Analyst and Financial Accountant. Steven's experience in finance extends to risk management, as he previously worked as an IT Risk & Assurance Advisor at EY.

Steven's entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found SoCollege, an app aimed at helping students navigate the college experience. He also has experience as a bartender and server, having worked at DeCosta's Restaurant. Steven is a proud alum of Iona Preparatory School and serves on the board of directors for several non-profit organizations.
