Steve Nunez is a seasoned professional with a distinguished 26-year career in higher education. Starting as an instructor of biology at Sauk Valley Community College in 1996, he transitioned to various administrative roles within the institution before becoming President at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College in 2020. Nunez firmly believes in the transformative power of education in enriching lives, including his own. He personally experienced the benefits of community college education, which propelled him to earn a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Biology from Virginia Tech, culminating in a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Community College Leadership from Ferris State University in 2015. Each educational milestone has served as a springboard for his professional growth.
