Steve Delpy is a highly experienced and skilled senior leader with over 20 years of experience working in startup, small, and multinational companies in various functions, including finance, partnerships, technologies, operations, platforms, and product development. Delpy has a master's degree in mechanical engineering with first-class honors from the University of Warwick. He started his career at Ford Motor Company and has held various leadership roles at American Express, Earthport, DC&M, and Visa. Delpy is currently the Global Head - Acquiring, Payment Network & Expansions at SumUp, a financial technology company that provides mobile point-of-sale and online payment solutions.
Before joining SumUp, Delpy was the CFO and founder of Hive19, a technology startup that provided social media automation solutions for businesses. He was also the Head of Bank Partner Network at Earthport and worked on strategy and transformation projects at the same company. At American Express, Delpy held various leadership roles, including VP of International Platforms & NPD, Vice President B2B Digital & Commercial Payments, VP of Operational Excellence, VP of Data Strategy & Insights, VP of Strategy & Quality, and Director. In addition to his extensive experience and knowledge of the financial services industry, Delpy is an expert in practical, delivery focused transformation and change.
