Steve Cotton is a strategic data and analytics innovator with extensive experience in strategic development, scalable business models, data aggregation, and analysis. He studied at the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business, earning his Bachelor of Business Administration in Banking & Finance cum laude and a Master of Business Administration cum laude. Steve's early career focused on developing advanced performance analytics for executive management in financial institutions, which he later leveraged to establish an online SaaS bank analytics firm. He successfully led the venture from concept to funding to an exit in 2007. In 2015, he debuted FI Navigator, which provides an innovative data and analytics solution delivering industrywide research or institution-specific insights to industry vendors and advisors on financial institutions.

FI Navigator's platform is fueled by a proprietary ability to extract and analyze unstructured website data and integrate it with other industry data. Steve's expertise includes commercial and consumer banking, mobile banking, software development, merger & acquisition, process automation, disruptive innovation, equity drivers, financial/market/risk analyses, and client-centric sales. In 2018, FIN expanded from its initial focus on digital channels to technographics coverage of over 200 retail, business, and operating solutions on every FI. Additionally, FIN created performographics detailing the primary themes for every FI to enhance profitability, risk management, and growth.

Steve has been the CEO & Founder at FI Navigator Corporation since its launch. He was previously the CEO & Founder at Persint, CEO & Founder at BancIntelligence.com, President, CEO & Founder - Bank Intelligence at Fiserv, and Managing Director - Financial Strategies Division at U.S. Banking Alliance. Steve has also served on the Advisory Board of Preparis, Inc.
